Grounds Crew: Starting pay: $15 an hour.
This behind the scenes role is a great way to start out working at Benson's. Duties include cleaning and organizing the serving and storage spaces as well as maintaining outdoor seating areas. All employees must adhere to high quality, sanitation, and safety standards and work affectively with colleagues in a positive and inclusive work environment. Grounds Crew must be 14 years of age or older. Grounds crew work shifts are mornings (approximately 9 am - 12 noon). All employment is part time and seasonal. We prioritize hiring candidates who are available to work a mix of weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts during the entire season with an increase in hours mid summer and a gradual decrease to weekend-only shifts during spring and fall. All Benson's employees are required to be able to meet the time and scheduling requirements of their positions and to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting 50 lbs and working on their feet for full shifts.
Scooper: Starting pay: $15 an hour plus individual tips earned.
Scoopers are responsible for dishing out delicious deserts in a fast-paced and friendly old fashioned ice cream stand. Duties include providing superb customer service, conducting payment transactions accurately and responsibly, following food service protocols for safety, sanitization, and quality at all times, adherence to cleaning schedules and duties, restocking and organizing inventory, and cooperating with colleagues in a positive and inclusive work environment. Scoopers must be 16 years of age or older. Employment is part time and seasonal. We prioritize hiring candidates who are available to work a flexible mix of shifts including weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays for the whole season, with an expected increase in hours mid summer and a gradual decrease to weekend-only hours during spring and fall.
